The Triangle Computational and Applied Mathematics Symposium, (TriCAMS) is an event designed to provide an opportunity for the multitude of academic institutions, government agencies, laboratories, and high-tech companies to meet, discuss, and promote common goals in applied and computational mathematics.
2. Joint Mathematics Meetings Agenda – Scientific Program
Prof Semyon Tsynkov and Prof Radmila Sazdanovic are organizing a Special Session on Topological Solutions in Electromagnetic Theory at Joint Mathematics Meetings (JMM), Washington, DC, January 5, 2026.
The session aims at exploring a rich class of electromagnetic solutions characterized by the presence of knotted or linked vortex lines (or C-lines). Among the key unanswered questions are stability of paraxial propagation (i.e., whether a given knot structure is preserved) and robustness of knot reconstruction from the received field. Potential applications to communication theory and remote sensing, as well as recent experimental advances in optical and terahertz regime will also be discussed.
3. The Third Joint SIAM/CAIMS Annual Meetings (AN25)
Prof Arvind Saibaba co-chaired SIAM annual meeting 2025 in Montreal, Canada, July 28 – August 1, 2025. The SIAM Annual Meeting provides a broad view of the state of the art in applied mathematics, computational and data science, and their applications through invited presentations, prize lectures, minitutorials, minisymposia, contributed presentations, and posters.
