CRSC Engagement and Public Service Activities

  • CRSC Director Hien Tran, and Professor Zhilin Li provided mentorship to participants from the GEARS (Global Education, Academics, and Research Skills) Program. Administered by the NC State University Global Training Initiative (GTI), the GEARS Program is a unique academic, research and cultural exchange program that enables academically gifted domestic and international students to experience campus life and academic research at universities across North Carolina.
  • April 29, 2023, GAMMA (Girls in Applied Math, Modeling, and Analysis), held under the leadership of CRSC associate faculty Lorena Bociu and in collaboration with the Science House to provide high school girls with opportunities to learn about careers in mathematics, math modeling and analysis, applied mathematics, and women in math.
  • November 12-13, 2022, CRSC associate faculty members, Lorena Bociu, Ryan Murray, Tien Khai Nguyen, and Hien Tran, organize the 40th Southeastern-Atlantic Regional Conference on Differential Equations (SEARCDE).
